The South Atlantic Conference Announces AstroTurf SAC Men's Lacrosse Players of the Week, Feb. 22

ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – No. 20 Queen's Garrett Sadler was tabbed the Astroturf South Atlantic Conference Men's Lacrosse Offensive Player of the Week, while Wingate's Jacob Ormerod was named the Astroturf South Atlantic Conference Men's Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week for games played Feb. 15-21, the League announced today.

Sadler, a freshman from Chittenango, N.Y., scored four goals for the Royals in a narrow 14-12 loss to No. 15 Pfeiffer on Feb. 20.  The attacker put six of his shots on goal and picked up two ground balls and one caused turnover.  The honor marks his first Offensive Player of the Week nod this season. 

Ormerod, a junior from Lake Mary, Fla., recorded 16 saves in a heart-breaking 9-8 four overtime loss to No. 11 Merceyhurst.  He recorded a 64.0 save percentage in 73 in minutes in goal.  The award is his first Defensive Player of the Week honor this season.
