The South Atlantic Conference Announces AstroTurf SAC Men's Lacrosse Players of the Week, March 29

ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – Lenoir-Rhyne's Will Remsen was tabbed the Astroturf South Atlantic Conference Men's Lacrosse Offensive Player of the Week, while Kevin Haggerty from Tusculum was named the Astroturf South Atlantic Conference Men's Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week for games played March 21-27, the League announced today.

Remsen, a junior Baldwin, N.Y., scored nine goals and dished out three assists to lead the Bears to a pair of South Atlantic Conference wins last week.  The attacker got his week started with three goals, one helper and four ground balls as Lenoir-Rhyne defeated Brevard 22-13 on March 23.  Three days later against Mars Hill, he notched six tallies, two assists and two ground balls as the Bears picked up a 12-4 win over the Lions.  Remsen scored on 60 percent of his shots and put 80 percent of his shots on target.  The award is his first Offensive Player of the Week nod this season.

Haggerty, a junior from Suffern, N.Y., recorded 12 saves to help Pioneers to an 11-6 win over Catawba on March 26.  He allowed just six scores and posted a save percentage of 66.7.  The honor is his second Defensive Player of the Week selection this season.
