The South Atlantic Conference Announces AstroTurf SAC Men's Lacrosse Players of the Week, April 24

ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – Lenoir-Rhyne's Eric Dickinson was tabbed the Astroturf South Atlantic Conference Men's Lacrosse Offensive Player of the Week, while Wingate's Will Sheridan was named the Astroturf South Atlantic Conference Men's Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week for games played April 17-23, the League announced today.

Dickinson, a junior from Charlotte, N.C., totaled four goals and two assists in leading the Bears to a thrilling, 14-13 victory over Catawba on April 22 at home to clinch the Bears' second straight outright South Atlantic Conference Regular Season Championship. Dickinson, who scored two of his goals in the fourth and final period, currently leads the league in both goals scored (47) and total points (64), both school single-season marks. Lenoir-Rhyne is 12-1 on the year including an 8-0 mark in conference play. The Bears are also ranked No. 4 in NCAA Division II and have won 12 straight games.  The award marks his second Offensive Player of the Week selection this season.

Sheridan, a junior from Woodstock, Ga., recorded 10 saves to lift the Bulldogs to a 10-9 win over No. 19 Tusculum on April 22.  He saved 52.6 percent of the shots he faced in his 60 minutes of action.  The award is his second Defensive Player of the Week plaudit this season.
