Lincoln Memorial Sweeps South Atlantic Conference AstroTurf Men's Lacrosse Player of the Week Honors

ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – Lincoln Memorial attack Chris Tucker has been named the South Atlantic Conference AstroTurf Men's Lacrosse Offensive Player of the Week and Lincoln Memorial goalie Michael Kessler has been named the South Atlantic Conference AstroTurf Men's Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week for games played Mar. 12-18, the League announced today.

Tucker, a freshman from Wantagh, N.Y., led the Railsplitters to a 2-0 record last week, including a 14-13 over Queens University of Charlotte in SAC play. In his first game of the week, Tucker scored six goals and assisted on another, while picking up two ground balls in LMU's 26-5 win over Concordia. He then found the back of the net four times on eight shots in the Railsplitters victory over Queens. For the week, he scored 10 goals with an assist for 11 points.

Kessler, a freshman from Wantagh, N.Y., picked up a pair of wins in the cage for the Railsplitters last week. He made a save and did not allow a goal in LMU's 26-5 win over Concordia, and he made 17 saves and had a 56.7 save percentage in LMU's 14-13 win over Queens. For the week, Kessler made 18 saves and had a 58.1 save percentage.  

These are the first Player of the Week honors for both Tucker and Kessler.
