Lenoir-Rhyne, Wingate, and Queens Men's Lacrosse Ranked Nationally in Latest Polls
ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – The United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) released their week three coaches poll with two SAC men's teams making the top-20. Queens was ranked No. 17 and Wingate stayed at No. 20. US Lacrosse Magazine also announced their Nike/US Lacrosse rankings on Monday (Feb. 25). Queens joined the rankings at No. 16, while the Bears remained in the poll, dropping to No. 19.
The Bears (0-3, 0-0 SAC) have lost to three nationally-ranked opponents to start the season: Limestone, Belmont Abbey, and Tampa.
The Bulldogs (2-1, 0-0 SAC) only loss came in their second game at the hands of nationally-ranked Mercyhurst and rebounded with a double-overtime thriller over Rollins.
The Royals (3-0, 0-0 SAC) swept the SAC AstroTurf Men's Lacrosse Players of the Week with Quinn Tallant earning offensive honors and Kyle Hornik collecting the accolade for the second consecutive week. Queens took down nationally-ranked Mount Olive (10-8) and will face nationally-ranked Limestone on Saturday in Gaffney, S.C.
