The South Atlantic Conference Announces AstroTurf Men's Lacrosse Players of the Week Honors

ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – The South Atlantic Conference announced its AstroTurf Men's Lacrosse Players of the Week for games played during Feb. 25 through Mar. 3. Newberry garnered offensive honors with Dylan Mansur, while Wingate collected the defensive honors with Mike DiLegge.

A senior attack, Mansur helped the Wolves to a 2-0 week with 11 goals, six ground balls, three assists, and one caused turnover. Against Emmanuel (Ga.), the Edgewater, Md. native score eight goals to create a tie for the most in a game in SAC men's lacrosse history. This is Mansur's first Offensive Player of the Week honor of the season.

A sophomore defender, DiLegge aided in the shutdown of Palm Beach Atlantic in the Bulldogs' 17-3 victory. The Bayshore, N.Y. native led the defensive stand to hold the Sailfish to 13 goals below their season average. DiLegge anchored the front with three caused turnovers and three ground balls. This is DiLegge's first Defensive Player of the Week honor of the season.
