Lenoir-Rhyne Sweeps AstroTurf Men's Lacrosse Players of the Week Honors
ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – The South Atlantic Conference announced its AstroTurf Men's Lacrosse Players of the Week for games played during March 11 through March 17. Lenoir-Rhyne swept the offensive and defensive honors with Joe Buduo and Noah Johnson, respectively.
A senior attack, Buduo netted a hat trick, along with a season-high three assists, in the decisive 21-3 SAC victory over Tusculum. The Shrewsberry, Mass. native also added three ground balls in the winning effort. This is Buduo's first Offensive Player of the Week honor of the season.
A freshman goalkeeper, Johnson saved a career-high 17 shots in the SAC-opening win over Tusculum. The Johns Creek, Ga. native allowed only three goals in the game, saving 85 percent of the shots he faced, and scooped up a ground ball.
