Queens, Wingate, and Catawba Men's Lacrosse Ranked Nationally in Latest Polls
ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – The United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) released their weekly coaches poll with three SAC men's teams making the top-20. Queens remains at No. 10, Wingate fell to No. 18, and Catawba joined the poll at No. 19. US Lacrosse Magazine also announced their Nike/US Lacrosse rankings on Monday, March 25. The Royals jumped in the rankings to No. 6, the Catawba Indians joined the national ranks at No. 15, and the Bulldogs dropped to No. 16 in the poll.
The Royals (8-1, 3-0 SAC) continued their five-game winning streak after defeating Lenoir-Rhyne in overtime and Tusculum.
The Catawba Indians (7-2, 4-0 SAC) have won seven in a row, including a victory over nationally-ranked Wingate and a come-from-behind win over Lincoln Memorial.
The Bulldogs (6-3, 2-1 SAC) lost both of their matchups during the week to nationally-ranked opponents: Catawba and Mount Olive.
