The South Atlantic Conference Announces Seeds for 2019 Men's Lacrosse Championship
ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – Wingate won the South Atlantic Conference Regular Season Men's Lacrosse Championship after closing out the regular season with a 7-1 record in SAC play. With the title, the Bulldogs have earned the No. 1 seed in next week's South Atlantic Conference Men's Lacrosse Championship.
Catawba finished the SAC portion of its schedule with a 6-2 record to earn the No. 2 seed. Queens earned the No. 3 seed with a conference record of 6-2 as well. The Indians won the tiebreaker with Queens thanks to a 13-12 head-to-head victory.
Lenoir-Rhyne earned the No. 4 seed, while Newberry slid into the No. 5 seed and Tusculum rounded out the field in the No. 6 seed.
Wingate and Catawba each earned a bye to semifinals. The quarterfinals will be played on Tuesday, April 23 at campus sites with the semifinals and finals taking place at Wingate University's Graham Gill Field in Wingate, N.C. on April 26 and 28. The tournament schedule is listed below:
