Wingate, Queens, and Catawba Men's Lacrosse Ranked Nationally in Latest Polls
ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – The United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) released their weekly coaches poll with three SAC men's teams making the top-20. Wingate rises to No. 13, Queens falls to No. 16 and Catawba drops to No. 20. US Lacrosse Magazine also announced their Nike/US Lacrosse rankings on Monday, April 22, with the Bulldogs jumping to No. 12, the Royals falling to No. 14, and the Catawba Indians lowering to No. 19.
The Bulldogs (11-3, 7-1 SAC) extended their win streak to five games after upsetting nationally-ranked Queens to earn the SAC regular season title and No. 1 seed in the upcoming tournament.
The Royals (11-3, 6-2 SAC) have lost two conference games in a row to nationally-ranked opponents to drop to the No. 3 seed.
The Catawba Indians (9-5, 6-2 SAC) lost in a double-overtime thriller to Tusculum to earn the No. 2 seed in the SAC tournament.
