The South Atlantic Conference Announces Men's Lacrosse Astroturf Players of the Week Honors
ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – The South Atlantic Conference announced its AstroTurf Men's Lacrosse Players of the Week for games played during the third weekend of the 2021 season. Wingate's Willie Grieco garnered the offensive honor, while Lenoir-Rhyne's Noah Johnson collected the defensive honor.
A sophomore attacker Grieco, has now tied the Bulldog record for most points in a game after their 21-9 win over Montevallo this past weekend. The Crownsville, Md., native netted 12 points on six goals while also picking up six assists and two ground balls. This is Grieco's first Offensive Player of the Week honor of the season.
A junior goalie Johnson, helped the Bears lock in a thrilling 14-11 win over #13 Belmont Abbey this past weekend. The Johns Creek, Ga., native totaled 15 saves, three of which were game-saving fourth quarter saves. This is Johnson's first Defensive Player of the Week honor of the season.
