The South Atlantic Conference Announces Astroturf Men's Lacrosse Players of the Week Honors

ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – The South Atlantic Conference announced its AstroTurf Men's Lacrosse Players of the Week for games played during the sixth weekend of the 2022 season. Newberry's Baker Westmoreland garnered the offensive honor while Limestone's William Baxter collected the defensive honor.

A sophomore attacker from Charlotte, N.C., Westmoreland, helped the Wolves to wins over Mount Olive and conference opponent Tusculum this past weekend. Overall, he tallied 13 points on seven goals, while also adding two ground balls and six assists. This is Westmoreland's first Offensive Player of the Week honor of the season.

A senior goalie, Baxter, was an instrumental part in securing a 13-3 win over Lenoir-Rhyne this past weekend for the Saints. Overall, the Manchester, England native spent almost 60 minutes between the posts with 16 saves for an 84.2 save percentage. This is Baxter's second Defensive Player of the Week honor of the season.
