The South Atlantic Conference Announces Astroturf Men's Lacrosse Players of the Week Honors

ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – The South Atlantic Conference announced its AstroTurf Men's Lacrosse Players of the Week for games played during the seventh weekend of the 2022 season. Queens' Kealan Pilon garnered the offensive honor while Anderson's Joey Heckel collected the defensive honor.

A senior attacker from Ontario, Canada, Pilon helped the Royals to a 1-1 record past weekend. He tallied 14 points on 12 goals, while also adding one ground ball and two assists. This is Pilon's second Offensive Player of the Week honor of the season.

A redshirt freshman goalie, Heckel, helped the Trojans to a 1-1 record this weekend after facing conference opponents, Lenoir-Rhyne and Wingate. Overall, the Easton, PA., native spent almost 120 minutes between the posts with 26 saves for a 59.4 save percentage. This is Heckel's first Defensive Player of the Week honor of the season.
