The South Atlantic Conference Announces Seeds for 2022 SAC Men's Lacrosse Championship
ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – Limestone and Lenoir-Rhyne won the South Atlantic Conference Regular Season Men's Lacrosse title after closing out the regular season with identical records of 9-1 in SAC play. The Saints have earned the No. 1 seed in next week's South Atlantic Conference Men's Lacrosse Championship after beating Lenoir-Rhyne earlier this season in a 17-13 head-to-head scenario.
Lenoir-Rhyne finished the SAC portion of its schedule with a 9-1 record to earn the No. 2 seed. Wingate earned the No. 3 seed with a conference record of 8-2 while Queens earned the No. 4 seed with 7-3 conference record. Newberry took the No. 5 seed with a 6-4 SAC record and Catawba rounded out the field with a 5-5 conference record this season.
Catawba wins the tiebreaker over Anderson based on a 17-13 head-to-head win earlier this season.
Limestone and Lenoir-Rhyne each earned a bye to the semifinals. The quarterfinals will be played on Tuesday, April 26 at campus sites with the semifinals and finals taking place at Moretz Stadium in Hickory, N.C. on April 29 and May 1. The tournament schedule is listed below:
