Anderson's Weeks and Wingate's Grieco and Riley Earn Major Awards, 14 SAC Men's Lacrosse Players Named to USILA All-American Teams
LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) announced their 2022 All-America Teams along with Honorable Mentions on Thursday, May 26. Fourteen of the selections came from three South Atlantic Conference institutions. Wingate's Willie Grieco was named the Lt. Col. JI Turnbull Outstanding Attackman of the Year, while teammate Danny Riley was named the Lt. j.g. Donald MacLaughlin Jr. Outstanding Midfielder of the Year. Anderson's Cam Weeks was named face-Off Player of the Year.
On the first team with two honorees each were Wingate's Willie Grieco and Danny Riley and out of Anderson Cam Weeks. On second team with two selections was Lenoir-Rhyne's Toron Eccolston and Victor Powell and with one honree each was Wingate's Bobby Padden and Limestone's Kendall Collins. Only one SAC Player was named to the All-American team from Lenoir-Rhyne, Mitch Linklater.
Collecting honrable mention accolades was Queens' Kealan Pilon, Limestone's Gavin Kesselring, William Baxter and Michael McCreary. Closing out the honrable mention team is Catawba's Payton Leonard and Wingate's Mike DiLegge.
