The South Atlantic Conference Announces WePlayed Sports Men's Lacrosse Players of the Week
ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – The South Atlantic Conference announced its WePlayed Sports Men's Lacrosse Players of the Week for games played during the first week of the 2024 season. Limestone's Zachary Terry was named the Offensive Player of the Week, Coker's Michael Jensen was named the Defensive Player of the Week, and Catawba's James Crighton was named the Specialist Player of the Week.
Terry, a junior from Tega Cay, S.C., helped lead the Saints to a season-opening 24-15 win versus Saint Leo, scoring a game-high 10 goals with a 66.7% on shots. He also added three ground balls and one caused turnover in the victory.
Jensen, a sophomore from Woodstock, Ga., helped secure the 7-4 victory over Emmanuel with a strong defensive performance. Jensen recorded nine caused turnovers, four ground balls and two turnovers for the Cobras.
Crighton, a graduate student from Palm City, Fla., recorded a career-high 23 saves in Catawba's season-opening win at North Greenville on Saturday. Crighton eclipsed his previous career-high of 21 saves and was just two saves shy of the South Atlantic Conference record.
