The South Atlantic Conference Announces WePlayed Sports Men's Lacrosse Players of the Week
ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – The South Atlantic Conference announced its WePlayed Sports Men's Lacrosse Players of the Week for games played during the third week of the 2024 season. Anderson's Tristan Kirkham was named the Offensive Player of the Week, Lincoln Memorial's Michael Rogers was named the Defensive Player of the Week, and Lenoir-Rhyne's Rob Pensabene was named the Specialist Player of the Week.
Kirkham, a graduate student from Langley, British Columbia, led the Trojans with six goals off seven shots on goal. He registered four second-quarter goals to put Anderson ahead 7-6 at halftime in the 17-10 victory over Embry-Riddle.
Rogers, a senior from Cumming, Ga., led the Railsplitters defensively on the week. He recorded two ground balls and four caused turnovers on Wednesday versus North Greenville, and four ground balls and five caused turnovers in the win versus Emmanuel on Saturday.
Pensabene, a senior from Mount Laurel, N.J., led the Bears to a 12-9 win over No. 4 Tampa, shutting out the Spartans in the fourth quarter as the No. 1 Bears improved to 4-0. He made 11 saves and allowed just nine goals against the high-powered Tampa offense.
