The South Atlantic Conference Announces WePlayed Sports Men's Lacrosse Players of the Week

ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – The South Atlantic Conference announced its WePlayed Sports Men's Lacrosse Players of the Week for games played during the seventh week of the 2024 season. Wingate's Willie Grieco was named the Offensive Player of the Week, Coker's Michael Jensen was named the Defensive Player of the Week, and Anderson's Aiden Dixon was named the Specialist Player of the Week.

Grieco, a graduate student from Lawrenceville, Ga., had four goals and nine assists in a pair of SAC road wins for the No. 8 Bulldogs. He had three goals and two assists in the win at No. 6 Newberry and one goal and seven assists in the 21-5 win at Tusculum, adding three ground balls.

Jensen, a sophomore from Woodstock, Ga., led a strong defense to help the Cobras record two conference victories on the week. He had four ground balls and eight caused turnovers versus Catawba and four ground balls and three caused turnovers in the win at Mars Hill.

Dixon, a freshman from Forest Hill, Md., recorded 11 ground balls and went 11-13 in the victory at Lincoln Memorial on Wednesday and followed with 10 ground balls as he went 11-15 in the contest vs Lander on Saturday. On the week, he went 22-28 (.786) in faceoffs.
