Two SAC Teams Make 2024 NCAA Division II Lacrosse Tournament
ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – Two South Atlantic Conference Men's Lacrosse Teams were selected to compete in the 2024 NCAA Division II Tournament as announced this evening. The SAC had two of the six teams in the South Region with Lenoir-Rhyne earning the No. 2 seed and Limestone being selected No. 3.
The men's lacrosse championship features a 12-team tournament with six from the north and south regions. Games kick off on Wednesday, May 8 and continue on Sunday, May 12. Lenoir-Rhyne is the defending National Champions, becoming the only No. 5 seed in tournament history to capture the championship and did so by winning all of their games away from Hickory. They earned a bye to Sunday while Limestone takes on UIndy on Wednesday in Gaffney.
This is the fifth straight year the SAC has had multiple bids.
1) Tampa (17-1) - Bye
2) Lenoir-Rhyne (15-1) – Bye
3) Limestone (16-1) vs. 6) UIndy (11-5)
4) Lewis (13-4) vs 5) Maryville (13-4)
