Lincoln Memorial’s Nogueira Named Men’s Soccer Player Of The Week
ROCK HILL, S.C. - Lincoln Memorial's Felipe Nogueira has earned Men's Soccer Player of the Week honors from the South Atlantic Conference, the league announced today.
Nogueira, a native of Uberaba, Brazil, led the Railsplitters to
key wins over Maryville and Lenoir-Rhyne this week. Nogueira's goal
against Lenoir-Rhyne not only kept the Railsplitters undefeated in
South Atlantic Conference play (4-0) and in Appalachian Region
play, he has now scored more goals in single season (nine) than any
other LMU men's soccer defender in the history of the program.
Three of Nogueira's goals this season have been game-winners, including last Saturday's header off of a corner kick against Lenoir-Rhyne.
Nogueira is ranked second on the Railsplitter squad in scoring with nine goals, one assist and 19 total points this season.
The SAC Player of the Week is determined by a vote of the sports information directors of the league.
