Tusculum’s Nick Rich Named Men’s Soccer Player Of The Week

ROCK HILL, S.C. - Tusculum College sophomore forward Nick Rich (Kent, England) was named the 2009 season's first men's soccer South Atlantic Conference Player of the Week, the league announced Tuesday.

Rich led the No. 7 Pioneers to a 2-0 shutout of Queens (N.C.) to open the season, assisting on the match-winner and scoring a late goal of his own to pace the Tusculum attack. The 5-8, 155-pound forward currently leads the Pioneers with three points.

Rich was named the 2008 South Atlantic Conference men's soccer Freshman of the Year.
