Carson-Newman’s Robert Hill Named Men’s Soccer Player Of The Week

ROCK HILL, S.C. ­- Carson-Newman College forward Robert Hill has been named the South Atlantic Conference Men's Soccer Player of the Week for the week ending October 19, 2009, the league announced Tuesday.

Hill, a sophomore from Middlesbrough, England (Middlesbrough College) recorded a hat trick in the Eagles' lone match of the week Saturday at home against Wingate. Hill scored all three goals as the Eagles defeated Wingate 3-1 and handed the Bulldogs their first conference loss.

Hill currently leads the Eagles with nine goals and 21 points on the season.
