Mars Hill Men’s Soccer Team Is Top-Ranked Team In Southeast Region
INDIANAPOLIS/>/> -- The NCAA Division II Men's Soccer Committee has released the NCAA Division II men's soccer poll. Mars/> Hill/> College/>/> is the top-ranked men's soccer team in the Southeast Region, and is one of four South Atlantic Conference teams ranked in the top eight.
Mars Hill is 8-0-1 overall against Division II opponents, all of which have been against other in-region opponents. Carson-Newman/> College/>/> (6-2-1/>) is ranked fifth, while Lenoir-Rhyne/> University/>/> (6-2-0/>) is ranked seventh and Wingate/> University/>/> (5-2-0/>) is ranked eighth. Records are through Oct. 3.
The final regular-season poll will be published November 2 and championship selections will take place November 8.
Six teams from the Southeast Region will be selected to participate in the 32-team NCAA Championship field.
Selections will be announced at 7 p.m./> Eastern time, Monday, November 8 via a webcast selection show on NCAA.com.
