Wingate’s Jamie McKenna Named Men’s Soccer Player Of The Week

ROCK HILL, S.C. ­- Wingate University's Jamie McKenna is this week's South Atlantic Conference men's soccer Player of the Week, league officials announced Tuesday afternoon.

McKenna, a senior forward from Blackpool, England (Cardinal Allen), scored the game-winner in both of Wingate's matches on the week, leading the Bulldogs to a 2-0 week in SAC action.

McKenna had a goal and an assist in the 8-0 win over Newberry. He netted a pair of goals in the first half of Wingate's 6-1 victory at Brevard. McKenna leads the Bulldogs with 10 goals and 22 points on the 2010 season, helping Wingate to 8-2 overall record and 3-1 league mark.
