Four SAC Teams In NCAA Men’s Soccer Region Rankings
INDIANAPOLIS/>/> -- The NCAA Division II Men's Soccer Committee has released the NCAA Division II men's soccer poll. Four South Atlantic Conference teams ranked in the top eight.
Mars Hill College is fourth. The Lions are 11-1-1 overall against Division II opponents, all of which have been against other in-region opponents.
Wingate University climbs to No. 5 in the rankings. The Bulldogs are 10-2-0 against Division II and in-region opponents.
Carson-Newman/> College/>/> (9-3-1/>) is ranked seventh, while Lenoir-Rhyne University/>/> (8-4-0/>) is ranked eighth. Records are through Oct. 17.
The final regular-season poll will be published November 2 and championship selections will take place November 8.
Six teams from the Southeast Region will be selected to participate in the 32-team NCAA Championship field.
Selections will be announced at 7 p.m./> Eastern time, Monday, November 8 via a webcast selection show on NCAA.com.
