Wingate’s Da Silva, L-R’s Dunn Voted as SAC Soccer Players of the Week
Wingate forward Peron Da Silva and Lenoir-Rhyne midfielder Emmi Dunn have been selected as the SAC Soccer Players of the Week after leading their teams to unbeaten records in matches played October 7th through the 13th.

SAC Men's Soccer Player of the Week | Peron Da Silva, Wingate F
Da Silva led Wingate to a pair of SAC victories last week by totaling three goals and an assist. The wins moved the Bulldogs into sole possession of second place in the conference standings.
On Wednesday at Coker, Da Silva accounted for three of Wingate's four goals by recording two goals and an assist in a 4-2 Bulldog win. He followed that with another goal on Friday in a 3-0 WU victory over Brevard.
Da Silva has seven goals on the season, which are tied for sixth-most in the conference. He also has a pair of assists.
SAC Women's Soccer Player of the Week | Emmi Dunn, Lenoir-Rhyne MF
Dunn had the most productive week of her sophomore season for Lenoir-Rhyne, scoring four goals in the Bears' conference wins over Mars Hill and Anderson.
She opened the week with a hat trick – all on penalty kicks – in a 6-0 Lenoir-Rhyne win over Mars Hill on Wednesday. She then scored L-R's first goal in a 2-0 victory against Anderson on Friday, keeping the Bears unbeaten in the conference at 5-0-1.
Dunn's four goals last week were her first of the season. She is now third on the team in scoring.
