NSCAA Selects 16 SAC Men's Soccer Players to All-Region Team
16 men's soccer student-athletes from the SAC on Thursday were selected to the NSCAA All-Southeast Region Team, the organization has announced.
KANSAS CITY, Kan. – 16 men's soccer student-athletes from the SAC on Thursday were selected to the NSCAA All-Southeast Region Team, the organization has announced.
Leading the SAC's representation are four first-team selections. NCAA Division II Men's Soccer Championship semifinalist Carson-Newman placed two on the First Team in forward Ross Frame and keeper Rumwald le Guevel. They are joined by Wingate defender Gui Andrade and Queens midfielder Thiago Andrade.
Earning second-team selections from the conference are Anderson defender Lars Zimmerman, Carson-Newman midfielder Sindre Welo, Wingate forward Peron Da Silva, Lincoln Memorial forward Mario Pinto and Queens forward Erik Suarez.
Seven more SAC players were selected to the Third Team. Coker claimed two spots in forward Daniel Jackson and defender Fernando Bedoya, while Catawba defender Domhnall Minogue, Queens defender Jonathon Onyeaka, Wingate defender Victor Tozelli and midfielder Shaun Gadsby, and Anderson forward Andre Carle were also voted to the team.
