The South Atlantic Conference Announces WePlayed Sports Men's Soccer Players of the Week
ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – The South Atlantic Conference announced its WePlayed Sports Men's Soccer Players of the Week for games played in during the ninth week of the 2023 season. Lenoir-Rhyne swept the awards as Adrian Martina was named the Offensive Player of the Week and Juan Basabe was named the Defensive Player of the Week.
Martina, a graduate student from Avila, Spain, buried the game-winning goal versus No. 18 Lincoln Memorial to mark the completion of an undefeated October for the Bears. He netted the sole goal in the 36th minute, registering his third game-winner of the season.
Basabe, a graduate student from Durango, Spain, recorded a clean sheet in the upset win over No. 18 Lincoln Memorial. Basabe made a season-high six saves in the contest.
