The South Atlantic Conference Announces WePlayed Sports Swimmers of the Week

ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – The South Atlantic Conference announced its WePlayed Sports Swimmers of the Week for meets competed in during the third week of the 2024 season. Catawba's Marit Reckmann was named the Women's Swimmer of the Week while Catawba's Nazar Herashchenko was named the Men's Swimmer of the Week.

Reckmann finished second in the 50 and 100 Free events against Division I opponent Queens. The junior from Germany recorded a personal best and third-fastest time in the country in the 500 Free.

Herashchenko won the 1,000 and 500 Free events against Division I opponent Queens. The freshman from Ukraine achieved NCAA B-cut times and broke the school record in the 500 Free.
