Three SAC Men's Swimmers Earn Academic All-American
AUSTIN, TEXAS – Three standout student-athletes from the South Atlantic Conference have been named to the 2024 Academic All-America® Men's At-Large Teams, selected by the College Sports Communicators (CSC).
Asger Hartvig of Carson-Newman earned First Team Academic All-America® honors for the second consecutive year. A senior mathematics major with a perfect 4.00 GPA, Hartvig has been a consistent force both in the classroom and in competition for the Eagles.
Ney Chagas Filho of Wingate landed a spot on the Second Team. The junior finance major boasts a 3.80 GPA, and this makes the third straight year Chagas Filho has been honored as an Academic All-American.
Maks Minichowski of Catawba received Second Team Academic All-America® recognition as well. A sophomore majoring in Sustainability Planning & Leadership, Minichowski holds a 3.86 GPA.
The CSC Academic All-America® program recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performance on the field and in the classroom.
