Catawba’s Sean Soltan Named Men’s Tennis Player Of The Week

ROCK HILL, SC -- Sean Soltan of Catawba College has been named the South Atlantic Conference Men's Tennis Player of the Week announced league officials Tuesday.

Soltan, a 6-1, 180-pound sophomore from Vetlanda, Sweden, avenged last fall's loss to Jason Stuckey of Johnson C. Smith University, winning the rematch 6-2, 6-1 at No. 2 singles to help Catawba to a 6-3 victory over the Golden Bulls.

Soltan also won his doubles match, teaming with Fernando Aguiar for an 8-6 win at the No. 2 flight. Soltan improves to 11-4 in singles and 9-6 in doubles play.

The SAC Men's Tennis Player of the Week is selected by a vote of the league's sports information directors.
