Catawba’s Cyle Petersen Named Men’s Tennis Player Of The Week

ROCK HILL, SC -- Cyle Petersen of Catawba College has been named the South Atlantic Conference Men's Tennis Player of the Week announced league officials Tuesday.

Petersen, a 6-4, 205-pound sophomore from Campbell River, British Columbia, Canada, won all four of his singles matches as Catawba posted a 3-1 mark and won its league opener by rallying for a 5-4 win against Lincoln Memorial.

Petersen didn't drop a set in playing three matches at No. 3 and at No. 4 against LMU. He added a win at No. 3 doubles vs. LMU and at the No. 2 flight against Concord.

The SAC Men's Tennis Player of the Week is selected by a vote of the league's sports information directors.
