Tusculum’s Henrique Rodrigues Named Men’s Tennis Player Of The Week

ROCK HILL, SC -- Tusculum College junior Henrique Rodrigues, of Salvador-Bahia, Brazil, has been named the South Atlantic Conference Men's Tennis Player of the Week for the week ending February 24. Rodrigues, who plays No. 1 singles, helped the 31st-ranked Pioneers to 9-0 wins over Milligan and Virginia-Wise.

In the win at Milligan, Rodrigues recorded a straight set win over Ricky Jones (6-2, 6-1). He also tallied an 8-3 pro set win at No. 2 doubles with teammate Leo Guaycurus. In the match at Virginia-Wise, the junior rallied from a set down to defeat Arnaud Ba 3-6, 6-3 (10-8). He also paired with Guaycurus for an 8-0 blanking at No. 2 doubles.

The South Atlantic Conference Player of the Week is voted on by the league's Sports Information Directors.
