Mars Hill’s Alessandro du Besse Named Men’s Tennis Player Of The Week

ROCK HILL, SC -- Mars Hill College sophomore Alessandro du Besse, of Rome, Italy, has been named the South Atlantic Conference Men's Tennis Player of the Week for the week ending March 10.

Du Besse helped the Lions split a pair of league matches last week, playing No. 2 singles and No. 1 doubles.

In a 6-3 win over nationally-ranked Tusculum, du Besse claimed wins in both singles and doubles. He also won his singles match in straight sets in a 5-4 loss to Newberry. He is undefeated in singles this season at 4-0 and is 3-1 in doubles.

The South Atlantic Conference Player of the Week is voted on by the league's Sports Information Directors.
