Wingate’s Matthew Lichtenstein Named Men’s Tennis Player Of The Week

ROCK HILL, SC -- Wingate University's Matthew Lichtenstein has been named the South Atlantic Conference Men's Tennis Player of the Week for the week ending February 22, announced conference officials Wednesday.

Lichtenstein, a junior from Darnestown, Md. (Northwest HS), went undefeated on the day to lead the Bulldogs past Johnson C. Smith 9-0 in Wingate's only match last week.

Lichtenstein defeated JCSU's Robert Butts, 6-1, 6-1 at No. 1 singles. Lichtenstein and Braeden Patchell defeated JCSU's Jamil Jones and Dion Chever, 8-1, at No. 2 doubles.
