Seeds Set for 2015 South Atlantic Conference Men's Tennis Championship
ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – Wingate and Tusculum were named the 2015 South Atlantic Conference Men's Tennis Co-Champions as each squad turned in identical 10-1 records, it was determined today as the Conference season concluded this afternoon. The Bulldogs won the regular-season meeting against the Pioneers to pick up the No. 1 seed in next week's SAC Men's Tennis Championship, leaving the Pioneers as the No. 2 seed.
Anderson and Queens also finished in a tie with 9-2 records. The Trojans earned the No. 3 seed with their win over the Royals during the season to give Queens the No. 4 seed. Newberry and Lincoln Memorial turned in a 6-5 records with the Wolves earning the tiebreaker by virtue of its regular-season win. Newberry will be the No. 5 in the tournament, while Lincoln Memorial finishes up the seeds at No. 6.
Wingate and Tusculum each earned a bye to semifinals. The tournament will take place at Brevard College with the quarterfinals getting underway on Thursday, April 16. The semifinals will be played on April 17 and the tournament will conclude with the finals on April 18. The tournament schedule is listed below:
