The South Atlantic Conference Announces Seeds for the 2016 SAC Men's Tennis Championship
ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – Tusculum and Wingate were named the 2016 South Atlantic Conference Men's Tennis Co-Champions as each squad turned in identical 10-1 records, it was determined today as the Conference season concluded this afternoon. The Pioneers won the regular-season meeting against the Bulldogs to break the tie and pick up the No. 1 seed in next week's SAC Men's Tennis Championship, leaving Wingate as the No. 2 seed.
Queens earned the No. 3 seed as it finished SAC play at 9-2, while Anderson's 8-3 record was good for the No. 4 seed. At No. 5 was Newberry, who posted a 7-4 record in League action. Coker finished up the seeds as it went 6-5 in Conference play.
Wingate and Tusculum each earned a bye to semifinals. The tournament will take place at Brevard College with the quarterfinals getting underway on Thursday, April 21. The semifinals will be played on April 22 and the tournament will conclude with the finals on April 23. The tournament schedule is listed below:
