Carson-Newman's Janse Named South Atlantic Conference AstroTurf Men's Tennis Player of the Week

ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – Carson-Newman's Marc Janse has been named the South Atlantic Conference AstroTurf Men's Tennis Player of the Week for matches played during week nine of the 2021 season, the Conference announced today.

Janse, a sophomore from Zeewolde, Netherlands, pushed is SAC singles record to 9-0 with wins over No. 16 Queens, No. 13 Wingate, and Mars Hill. Playing at No. 2 singles, Janse won came from behind to win 1-6, 7-5, 7-5 against Wingate. He then picked up a 7-5, 6-0 win versus Mars Hill, and he closed out the week with a 7-5, 4-6, 10-8 win against Queens.

This is Janse's first Player of the Week selection this season.
