Queens' Bottino Named South Atlantic Conference AstroTurf Men's Tennis Player of the Week
ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – Queens' Edoardo Bottino has been named the South Atlantic Conference AstroTurf Men's Tennis Player of the Week for matches played during week eight of the 2022 season, the Conference announced today.
Bottino, a junior from Genoa, Italy had a comeback weekend where he helped the Royals sweep the South Atlantic Conference week with a perfect 2-0 record in singles and doubles action. He improved to 5-1 in singles and 6-0 in doubles in conference play. Bottino fought back from being down 2-5 against Wingate in the third set to clinch the match for the Royals. Against Tusculum, he would again fight off multiple match points in the third set to come back and win. The victory at #1 singles would bring the Royals to within one giving Queens a chance at victory
This is Bottino's first Player of the Week selection this season.
