Lenoir-Rhyne's Cox Named South Atlantic Conference Varsity Gems Men's Tennis Player of the Week

ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – Lenoir-Rhyne's Zach Cox has been named the South Atlantic Conference Varsity Gems Men's Tennis Player of the Week for matches played during week one of the 2023 season, the Conference announced today.

Cox, a sophomore from Peterborough, England, went undefeated at No. 2 singles and was 1-1 at No. 2 doubles for the Bears last week. He won his singles match against Barton, 7-6, 6-1, and was victorious against Newberry, winning 7-6, 6-1. He also picked up a win at No. 2 doubles against Newberry winning 6-3.
