Wingate's Walcher Named South Atlantic Conference Varsity Gems Men's Tennis Player of the Week

ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – Wingate's Florian Walcher has been named the South Atlantic Conference Varsity Gems Men's Tennis Player of the Week for matches played during week five of the 2023 season, the Conference announced today.

Walcher, a sophomore from Austria, went undefeated last week at No. 1 singles and No. 2 doubles with a SAC win over Coker. He picked up a 6-0, 6-2 win at No. 1 singles and won his doubles match 6-4. Walcher is now 6-0 in singles play this season and 6-1 in doubles.
