Lincoln Memorial's Jonsson Named South Atlantic Conference Varsity Gems Men's Tennis Player of the Week

ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – Lincoln Memorial's William Jonsson has been named the South Atlantic Conference Varsity Gems Men's Tennis Player of the Week for matches played during week six of the 2023 season, the Conference announced today.

Jonsson, a junior from Gothenburg, Sweden, led the Railsplitters to a 6-1 win over Coker last week, picking up victories at No. 1 doubles and No. 3 singles. Jonsson and doubles partner Alex Giurea were victorious at No. 1 doubles with a 6-3 win. He then picked up a match-clinching win at No. 3 singles, with a third-set tiebreaker win.
