Queens Earns Top Spot in 2019-20 SAC Men's Indoor Track & Field Preseason Poll

ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – The Queens University of Charlotte Royals have been picked as the favorites to win the 2019-20 South Atlantic Conference Men's Indoor Track and Field Championship, according to the preseason coaches' poll released today.

The defending champions earned 110 points in the poll, including 10 of 11 first place votes.

Lenoir-Rhyne University earned the second spot with 98 points, while Wingate University and Carson-Newman University placed third in the poll with 89 points each. Wingate had one first place nod.

Catawba College came in at No. 5 with 72 points, followed by Tusculum University at No. 6 with 65 points, and Coker University at No. 7 with 54 points.

Newberry College took the No. 8 spot with 39 points, while Lincoln Memorial University earned the No. 9 spot with 34 points. Mars Hill University followed close at No. 10 with 33 points and Anderson University placed eleventh with 32 points.

The 2020 SAC Indoor Track and Field Championships will take place on Feb. 29-Mar. 1 at the JDL Fast Track in Winston-Salem, N.C. Below is a list of the top athletes to watch from each SAC institution.
