Mars Hill’s Gragg, Anderson’s Bishoff Named Runners Of The Week
ROCK HILL, S.C. - Mars Hill College's Justin Gragg and Anderson University's Whitney Bishoff have been named the South Atlantic Conference men's and women's cross country Runners of the Week for the week ending October 17, 2010.
Gragg, a junior from Lenoir, N.C., finished ninth overall in the 8k Gold Race at the 2010 Royal Cross Country Challenge in a time of 24:46.5. He finished fourth in D-II behind three All-Americans, two of which are top five runners in the nation. He was first SAC finisher by 1:35. His time of 24:46.50 is the second-fastest time in both Mars Hill and SAC history behind Craig Eckstein at 24:41.

Bishoff, a junior from Winder, Ga. (Athens Christian), claimed 11th-place overall to pace the Trojans for the fourth time in as many outings, as Anderson finished 13th at the Queens Royals Cross Country Challenge in a field that included Florida State, Georgia Tech, Elon, Davidson, UNC Greensboro and UNC Asheville. Posting the fourth-best time of any non-Division I competitor at the event, Bishoff finished 11th out of a combined total of total of 290 runners in both the "Gold" and "Navy" races at the Challenge, posting a season-best 18:05.6 and trimming more than three seconds off her time at Clemson nearly four weeks ago.
