The South Atlantic Conference Announces AstroTurf SAC Men's and Women's Cross Country Runners of the Week, Oct. 22
Felix Duchampt and Catie Byrd of Queens have been named the AstroTurf South Atlantic Conference Men's and Women's Cross Country Runners of the Week, respectively, the League announced today
ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – Felix Duchampt and Catie Byrd of Queens have been named the AstroTurf South Atlantic Conference Men's and Women's Cross Country Runners of the Week, respectively, the League announced today.
Duchampt, a senior from Ceyrat, France, finished third out of 129 runners over the weekend at the Falcon Classic. His time of 26:09:60 on the 8k course was good for No. 1 among South Atlantic Conference runners. The honor marks his first Runner of the Week nod this season.
Byrd, a junior from Ziconia, N.C., took second-place among 162 runners at the Falcon Classic with a 6k of 23:03. Her time was tops among all collegiate runners as she placed first against runners from the South Atlantic Conference. It was her second top-five finish of the season. The honor is her first Runner of the Week selection this season.
