The South Atlantic Conference Announces AstroTurf SAC Cross Country Runners of the Week, Oct. 12
ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) –Corinne Kule of Queens University and Nathan Jones of Mars Hill University have been named the AstroTurf South Atlantic Conference Cross Country Runners of the Week respectively, the League announced today.
Kule, a graduate student from Chardon, Ohio, finished fourth overall and recorded the second fastest Division II time at the Royals' Cross Country Challenge. Kule's time of 17:44.3 helped her team post the best Division II team score at a meet for the third time this season. The award is her first Runner of the Week plaudit of the season.
Jones, a senior from Lenoir City, Tenn., recorded a time of 24:07.6 in the 8K race at the Queens' Twilight Meet. Jones' time on the course not only broke the record for Mars Hill University, but it was the fastest time recorded time in South Atlantic Conference history. Jones finished in third-place in a field of 365 runners. This award is his third Runner of the Week award of the season.
