Carson-Newman's Greer Named South Atlantic Conference AstroTurf Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week

ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – The South Atlantic Conference announced its AstroTurf Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week for meets competed in during the week of Oct. 8 through Oct. 14. Carson-Newman's Luke Greer was named the runner of the week.

Greer, a senior from Northampton, United Kingdom, placed fifth out of 403 runners at the Royals Challenge last week. He posted a Carson-Newman record time of 23:58 in the 8k race and was the third Division II runner to cross the finish line, defeating numerous Division I, II and III runners in the event.

This is Greer's first Runner of the Week honor this season.
