Lenoir-Rhyne's Adkins Named South Atlantic Conference AstroTurf Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week

ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com)– The South Atlantic Conference announced its AstroTurf Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week in meets competed in during the first week of the 2019 season. Lenoir-Rhyne's Josh Adkins was named the runner of the week. 

Adkins, a senior from King, N.C. collected the first-place title in the season-opening Lenoir-Rhyne Invitational, while also leading his fellow Bears to a first-place team victory. Adkins completed the 8k course in 26:06, outrunning the next closest competitor by four seconds. 

 This is Adkins's first Runner of the Week honor for the 2019 season.
