The South Atlantic Conference Announces WePlayed Sports Cross Country Runners of the Week

ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – The South Atlantic Conference announced its WePlayed Sports Cross Country Runners of the Week for meets competed in during the second week of the 2024 season. Anderson's Kennedy Roush was named the Women's Runner of the Week while Lenoir-Rhyne's Jacob Parkinson was named the Men's Runner of the Week.
Roush, a sophomore from Greenville, S.C., finished 69th out of a field of 470 at the Southern Showcase in Huntsville, Ala. She ran an 18:07 5k registering the fastest time in the SAC this season.
Parkinson, the senior from Lincoln, England, won the Queens City Invite with a time of 24:39.25. This was his second victory at this event in his career, leading the Bears to a fifth-place finish overall.
