Lincoln Memorial’s Henn, Carson-Newman’s Heim Named Softball Players Of The Week
ROCK HILL, S.C. -- Lincoln Memorial third baseman Sara Henn and Carson-Newman's Zoe Heim and have earned South Atlantic Conference Player and Pitcher of the Week honors, league officials announced today.
C-N's Zoe Heim (Gallatin, Tenn.) picked up three wins on the week, improving to 22-5 on the year, as her 11th-ranked Lady Eagles went 4-0.
The senior earned both wins against Wingate on Sunday, tossing 12.2 innings of shutout ball and striking out 18. She tossed a one-hit shutout in C-N's 4-0 win in Game 1. The Gallatin, Tennessee native came on in relief in Game 2, firing five and two-thirds innings of shutout ball to pick up the win. She allowed only three singles on the day.

Heim also tossed a four-hit complete game in a 7-1 win at Tusculum on Wednesday. For the week, she struck out 30 in 19.2 innings. She wins this award for the fourth time this season.
Lincoln Memorial sophomore Sara Henn earned Player of the Week honors after batting .583 on the week, blasting three home runs. The Kettering, Ohio native hit two home runs in LMU's 7-2 win over Mars Hill on Wednesday. She finished the week 7-for-12 with nine RBIs. Henn is currently batting .496 for the season, the highest single-season average in LMU's 27-year history of softball.
The SAC Player of the Week is determined by a vote of the sports information directors in the league.
